Spades Ultimate is operated by Tosh Development (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what information we collect when you use spadesultimate.com (the “Service”), including our waitlist, suggestion board and game, and how we use it. We keep it short and plain on purpose.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address, the player name you choose, and an avatar if you upload one.
- Game activity: the games you play, your bids, scores and results, and your chip balance and purchase history.
- What you post: suggestions, votes, chat messages and reports you send.
- Security and fair-play signals: IP address, device and browser details, and sign-in times. We use these to keep accounts secure and to detect alternate accounts, collusion and abuse.
- Payments: if chip purchases are offered, payments are handled by our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.
How we use it
- To run the Service: sign you in, seat you at tables, keep score and show your stats and history.
- To email you sign-in codes, waitlist and launch news, and replies about your suggestions or reports. You can opt out of news emails at any time.
- To keep play fair and safe: detecting cheating, alternate accounts and spam, and enforcing our Terms.
- To review suggestions. We use automated tools, including AI, to screen suggestions for spam, off-topic content and duplicates before they’re posted. A person makes any decision to restrict an account.
- To improve the game.
What we don’t do
- We don’t sell your personal information.
- We don’t use advertising trackers or share your data with advertisers.
- We only use the cookies needed to keep you signed in and the Service working.
Who helps us run the Service
We use trusted providers to host and operate the Service, who handle data only on our behalf: Amazon Web Services (hosting and game servers), Neon (database), Resend (email delivery), Anthropic (automated review of suggestions) and, when purchases are available, our payment processor. We may also disclose information if the law requires it or to protect players and the Service from fraud or abuse.
How long we keep it
We keep your account information while your account is open. Game history is kept so your lifetime stats stay complete. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information, except where we need to keep some of it for legal, security or fraud-prevention reasons.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or close your account, by emailing support@spadesultimate.com. We’ll respond within 30 days.
Age
The Service is for people 18 and older. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has signed up, contact us and we’ll remove their account.
Security
We protect your information with encryption in transit, hashed sign-in codes and sessions, and limited access. No system is perfectly secure, but we take it seriously and will tell you if a breach affects you.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date above, and for significant changes we’ll let you know by email or on the site.
