Account
How do I sign in? There's no password.
Enter your email and we send a 6-digit code that works for 10 minutes. Your account stays signed in on one device or browser at a time; signing in somewhere else asks whether to move it there.
I didn't get my sign-in code.
Codes come from noreply@spadesultimate.com, so check spam or promotions. Wait a minute before asking for another; a new code replaces the old one.
How do I change my player name or photo?
Open your profile and choose Edit profile. Your first name change is free; after that it costs 100 gems. Photos can change any time.
Why does my avatar show letters?
If you haven't added a photo, your avatar uses letters from your player name and matches the theme of the person viewing it.
For names with several words, it uses the first letter of the first and last word: LionQueen becomes LQ and AceOfSpades becomes AS. A single word uses its first two letters, keeping their case: Wyld becomes Wy and Breezy becomes Br. Capitals, spaces, underscores and hyphens can separate words.
Other players can have the same initials, so use the full player name or open their profile to identify them.
How do I delete my account or download my data?
Settings → Account & data. A deleted account is removed after 7 days, and signing back in before then cancels it. You can download your data at any time, including your Club membership, contributions and messages you wrote. Club Leaders must transfer leadership or disband their Club before requesting deletion.
Chips & gems
I'm low on chips. How do I get more?
Collect the free daily bonus of 25,000 chips from the bell. A new one is ready each day at midnight Mountain time.
Can I cash out chips or gems?
No. Chips and gems are for play only: they have no cash value and can't be sold, traded or transferred.
What are gems for?
Name changes after your free one, stats resets (100 gems), and items in the Store. New players start with 200.
Store
How long do Store items last?
Individual deck and table cloth rentals normally last 30 days. Emote packs, saying packs and full packs last 90 days.
When cash purchases open, individual items priced above $2.99 also last 90 days. Special offers can have a different duration; the term and expiration are shown before you purchase.
Free items, your Founder gift and gifts explicitly granted for life never expire. The bell reminds you before a rental runs out.
What happens when a seasonal item leaves the Store?
You keep it until your purchased time expires, even after its selling season ends. For example, a 30-day rental bought on October 31 lasts the full 30 days.
After it expires, you can buy it again only when it returns to the Store. A lifetime gift stays yours after the season ends.
Can I buy an item again?
Once your rental expires, you can make a fresh purchase if the item is available in the Store. An active rental can't be extended or bought again; each new rental starts from its purchase time.
How do I use something I own?
Store → My collection, or Settings → Appearance for your deck and table cloth. Emotes and sayings are in the talk tray at the table.
Can I buy chips or gems with money?
Not yet. We'll announce it when purchases open.
Playing
What happens if I lose connection or step away?
Miss a turn and you're marked away; your seat plays automatically until you come back. Closing the browser isn't leaving. Only the Leave button leaves, and that counts as a forfeit.
Where are the rules?
How to play covers every mode, scoring, nil and bags, with a calculator.
Clubs
Where do I find Clubs?
Open Community → Clubs to browse, join or create a Club. You can belong to one Club at a time.
Who can join or create a Club?
Players can join from Level 1. Creation normally unlocks at Level 10; the Clubs page shows the current requirement and your progress. Clubs can be open, require approval, or accept invitations only.
What can each Club role do?
Roles are Leader, Co-leader, Officer and Member. The Leader sets the available permissions for each role. Everyone can use Club chat and join Club tables; hosting and management depend on those permissions. Only the Leader can change permissions, transfer leadership or disband the Club. A new Leader must meet the current creation level.
What counts toward Club progress?
Eligible wins in public Pairs and Solo games, Club tables and special events contribute Club XP. Higher stakes give a modest increase. The Club keeps earned XP and coins when someone leaves; rejoining starts a new member contribution total. Club coins determine the overall standings, followed by progress toward the next coin. Exact ties share a rank. Ranks continue without gaps: 1, 2, 2, 3.
What happens if I leave during a Club game?
If you leave or are removed from the Club, you can finish your current game. Club chat and browsing access end immediately, and you cannot take a new seat or rematch there.
How do I report a Club message?
Choose Report message beside the message. Staff can review that reported message and remove it or mute its author from Global and Club chat. Club members with moderation permission can also remove messages according to their role.
Who keeps the Club artwork?
Uploaded covers and emblems stay with the Club through leadership changes or the uploader leaving. Replacing artwork or disbanding the Club releases its old images for cleanup. Uploads that are not saved to a Club expire after 24 hours.
Fair play
How do I report a player?
Open their profile, or tap their avatar at the table, and choose Report. Tell us what happened; we review every report.
What isn't allowed?
Teaming up with other players, playing more than one account, moving chips between accounts, and bots or scripts. See the Terms for the full list.
Founders & beta
What happens when the beta ends?
Your beta progress and balances carry over at launch. Weekly leaderboards keep their usual schedule, and normal expiry rules still apply.
